With lots of controversy surrounding the Asia Cup 2023, the cricket tournament is finally scheduled, and we can’t wait to watch it. The game will be the first one, which is co-hosted by two countries: Pakistan and Srilanka. A total of 13 matches will be played by all five members of the Asian Cricket Council, with a new team joining for the first time, Nepal. By winning the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup, Nepal will debut in the prestigious cricket tournament.

Asia Cup 2023 Schedule

Asia Cup 2023 Venue
The first four matches of the tournament will be played in Pakistan, and the remaining nine will be played in the defending country that is Srilanka. Three of the four games in Pakistan will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, previously known as Lahore Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan. One will be played at Multan Cricket Stadium in Punjab, Pakistan.
Similarly, in Sri Lanks, two stadia have been fixed for the left out nine matches which are R. Premadasa Stadium and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The below table describes the venue better.

Asia Cup 2023 Format
The format and Group of the tournament were announced earlier on 9th January 2023. According to it, all six teams are divided into groups: Group A- India, Nepal and Pakistan; Group B- Srilanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
There will be six league matches, six Super 4 matches and a grand final match. The top two teams from each Group will compete in the Super 4, and the qualifying two teams will play the final battle. All 13 games will be played in the ODI format, i.e. of 50 overs.
Asia Cup 2023 Match Dates
Initially, the tournament was scheduled to take place in 2021, but due to the pandemic restrictions in the world, the tournament was postponed. No matter finally, the tournament fixture was announced on 19th July 2023. Asia Cup 2023 first match will be held on 30th August 2023, and the last game is scheduled for 17th September 2023.
