ISRO VSSC Exam Cancelled
On August 21, Vikram Sarabhai Space center cancelled the recently held examination of ISRO Recruitment. Many applicants applied for ISRO VSSC Exam 2023 and appeared in the written exam conducted on August 20, 2023. VSSC Released a different number of vacancies for Technician-B, Draughtsman-B, and Radiographer-A posts.

A day after the examination, VSSC declared that the exam had been officially cancelled. Additionally, the statement that VSSC released mentioned that they regret this inconvenience and that the revised schedule for the examination will be notified in due course.

Reason for Cancellation of ISRO VSSC Exam
Hundreds of eligible applicants appeared in the Written Examination for the mentioned posts. The examination was scheduled to be held in different test centers across Thiruvananthapuram. At two different test centers, the police caught two men impersonating and cheating in the examination. Both of these men are residents of Haryana.
These two impersonating men were identified as Goutham Chouhan and Manoj Kumar. The police suspect a coaching center in Haryana to be behind this malpractice. According to the reports, the impersonators used button cameras, wireless earphones, and mobiles as the means to cheat in the written exam of ISRO VSSC.
Both of these suspects, Manoj and Goutham, not only impersonated Sumeeth and Sunil, respectively but also cheated in the examination. Although they failed to execute their malpractice and were caught red-handed by the authorities. Although both of these malpractices hail from Haryana, they gave exams at different test centers.
Local authorities believe that both impersonators are part of the same group, indicating their involvement in cheating and impersonation. Additionally, both of them are believed to have used the same method and tools to cheat in the examination. Although, many are still wondering how they get passed the security personnel at the examination centers while impersonating and bringing gadgets to cheat.
ISRO VSSC Exam Affected Test Centers
Examination of various applicants was conducted at 10 different test centers in Thiruvananthapuram. Out of these 10 test centers, 2 test centers were affected when the authorities found two men from Haryana impersonating and cheating. The authorities have filed a case under various sections.
Although only two test centers were affected by this malpractice, the whole examination has been cancelled. All examinees, not just those at affected centers, must retake the exam. This impersonation and cheating attempt has caused trouble for all the examinees who studied hard for this significant ISRO VSSC Exam 2023.
In order to cheat, both used the same gadgets and methods. First, they somehow managed to enter the examination hall and got past the security personnel. They made them believe that they were actual candidates. After entering the examination hall, they used their gadgets to cheat in the exam. They used a button camera to scan the questions asked in the ISRO VSSC Exam 2023.
After scanning the questions, they sent these questions to another person/group by using their mobile phones, which they hid and brought inside the exam center. They received the correct answers wirelessly through Bluetooth.
ISRO VSSC Exam Reschedule
Currently, the authorities are investigating these impersonators. Even though the impersonators have been caught, the whole examination has been annulled by the VSSC. However, examinees have to remain patient as VSSC is likely to announce the new exam date very soon. However, it is highly unlikely that the new exam date will be rescheduled in the same month as the cancellation.
Applicants need to regularly visit the authorized web portal of VSSC regularly to receive new news and updates regarding the ISRO VSSC Exam 2023. Along with the new exam date, new admit cards for the same exam will also be issued by the VSSC. A notification regarding the uploading of Admit Card for the ISRO VSSC Exam 2023 will also be published in due course.
